Creative Writing Courses For Children

The course is ideal for primary-aged students (aged 9-11) who want to improve their writing skills and build their vocabulary.
The course covers both creative and discursive writing - skills that are often assessed during the 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance exams.
Furthermore, the course enables students to learn how to write in a way that will not only impress teachers and examiners, but will provide them with lifelong writing skills.

AM: 10 vocabulary words that will WOW readers, teachers and examiners
PM: Story Endings - how to score high marks by ending the story brilliantly
PM: Final practice with before and after comparisons.
AM: An introduction to persuasive writing
PM: Persuasive writing examples, the key tenets of writing persuasively.
AM: 10 Vocabulary phrases/words that will boost your persuasive and discursive writing marks
PM: An introduction to discursive writing.
AM: Discursive writing examples followed by the key tenets of writing discursively.
PM: Putting discursive and persuasive writing into practice.
AM: An introduction to transactional writing
PM: Transactional writing examples and practice.
AM: 10 vocabulary words and phrases to boost your transactional writing skills.
PM: Putting transactional, discursive and persuasive writing into practice.
PM: Before and after comparisons plus a recap of what students have learnt.
What To Bring
Your child will need to bring their pencil case and a packed lunch. They should dress comfortably.
Your child can also bring their own dictionary or thesaurus if they have one that they regularly use but this is optional. All other materials and resources are provided.
£575 for one week or £1,050 for two weeks.
The number of spaces is limited to 10 students and is available on a first come, first served basis.
